For crimany sakes....where have you been? I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off ever since we got home Sunday night. We decided on the drive home that we'd seriously start shopping for C. a different car. His was on it's last leg, err wheel and we wanted to get it before the end of the year. So that's what I've been doing since 8:00 Monday morning. We got home about 8:00 last night with him a new one. Today I've been faxing, emailing, phoning, etc. to get everything finished. Then D. decided we should cook dinner for the guys and their girls. Nothing fancy, just burgers but that meant I had to go to the store today. It was an absolute ZOO!!! Way worse than hurricane shopping, Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping. And don't even get me started on the folks in their own little worlds today. Geez, thought I was gonna hurt some people!
I've mentioned before I play fantasy football with friends from OKC. Not the serious, pick your players game, just the simple pick the winners of the college games and rank them in order of the confidence you have in them winning the game. For instance, there are 33 bowl games and last night I had chosen the Cowboys to win with a confidence of 22. Since they lost, (thanks alot Pokes) I didn't get my 22 points. However, not many in my group chose them to lose either and I'm still in 8th place out of 20 people. I've chosen the Sooners to win but only with a confidence of 1. If they lose, we won't be coming out of our house for several days.
I guess I'd better get into the kitchen and make sure I have everything for supper. I kinda lost my concentration after the 3rd lap around the parking lot.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year's. Be safe and have fun!!

You are one brave girl, I am just glad you made it out alive. Miss you like crazy girl! I want to make another trip to see you guys, besides J's graduation. Love you!!
What a precious comment you left me. We'll just have to get to know one another! ;-)
I didn't want to stop at our little grocery store on the way home from the office yesterday afternoon...but it was a must if we were to have any type of "Protein" with our meal. HA...my hubs is a MEAT man.
Anyway, I'm so thankful thinks settled down for you.
Happy 2009!!!
Lovingly,
Yolanda
I saw you at Yolanda's blog and I had to drop by and tell you that if it weren't a sin to covet...I would be green with envy that you are going to the Esther Bible Study by Beth at the church and facilitated by Beth....Awesome.
That Lady is annointed and GOD dropped her right in front of me when HE saved me from the pit 2 and a half years ago.
I thought she was the Proverbs lady that talked about having a beautiful home for your husband!! Little did I know she rolled in and out of the pit and GOD taught her how to walk between the ditches. She did it first and GOD used her to show me what it looked like.
Bless your heart..You are really blessed to be there...Think of all of us out in the cold east doing it by DVD :-)
Love in HIM,
Teri
It;s been crazy here, too. Hope the rest of your year is peaceful (and that the car is awesome!)
Wow! Somebody's lucky you didn't just ram them in the parking lot. Makes me think of the movie Fried Green Tomatos: "I'm older and I've got more insurance!"
Happy New Year to you! Did Clint love his new car? Please don't mention that to Patrick on FB - he drives a clunker!!
I'm having an OU watch party - can you make it up????
Laura,
Thank you for stopping by my blog! I'm always so excited to have comments from new bloggers. How special that you are an Okie and an OU fan!!! Go Sooners!!!
I've been on here way too long reading several of your past posts. I'm so sorry you had so much damage from the hurricane. What a mess!
You have a lovely home though.
So, do you attend the same church as Beth Moore?
I'm her #1 fan! :)
We start the Esther Bible study Jan. 12 at my church.
I'm the facilitator.
We have friends who have a house at Eufaula too. Their house is at Porum.
You have a lovely family, Laura. Very cute sons!!!!
I know you're proud.
Again, thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll add you to my favorites. Since we are empty nesters and don't even have a pet at this time....blogging is my hobby & I love it!
God bless you and your family in 2009!
Valerie
